Description

As a beginner or with family, you walk through the first part of the via ferrata in Zermatt. You are accompanied by an experienced mountain guide. The pure climbing time on the 2.9 km section is approximately 90 minutes. The hike to the start and from the finish to the Zermatt station takes about 30 minutes each.

During this first section of the via ferrata, you cover around 314 metres of elevation gain in both directions.

Requirements

The Mammoth Via Ferrata Schweifinen requires skill, a head for heights, and sure-footedness.

Route A is especially suitable for children, families, and beginners.
