2-day ski, splitboard, and snowshoe tour

With the 2-day ski, splitboard, or snowshoe tour from Wildhaus to the Zwinglipasshütte and the crossing of the Rotsteinpass into Toggenburg, you’ll be traversing a unique alpine winter landscape with a view of breathtaking mountain scenery. However, this tour doesn’t come for free. It requires certain skills and a solid dose of endurance and flexibility.

The route choice will be adapted to the snow and weather conditions.

Practical Information:

• Prerequisite: being able to ski safely on black slopes and off-piste Condition for about 4-5 hours and 1200 m of elevation gain
• Tour participation: 4-12 participants

1. Day:

• Ascent from Wildhaus to 1100 m above sea level to the Zwinglipasshütte at 1999 m above sea level.
• In the afternoon, depending on your mood, a tour can be taken from the hut.
• Ascent 1000 hm / Descent 100 hm (3-4 hours)

2. Day:

• Descent to Fählensee and further through the Stiefel to Chalberweid.
• Ascent to Wiederalpsattel and Bötzel.
• Descent to Meglisalp and up to Rotsteinpass.
• Long descent into Toggenburg to Unterwasser (Depending on the snow conditions, 0-1 hours of carrying skis).
• Ascent 1100 hm / Descent 2100 hm (5-6 hours)
• The route choice will be adjusted to the snow and weather situation.
• The route choice for snowshoers will be adapted to their level. (Prior experience required)
• The Zwinglipasshütte SAC is not serviced in winter, adding an extra portion of adventure to the tour.
