Along the way, you'll pass the racing track of the world-famous Lauberhorn ski race. The ride aboard the Wengernalp railway is one of the most beautiful train experiences in the area. At Eismeer station, a short stop is made. Here, you can admire and photograph the stunning glacier through a large panoramic window.
- Route Lauterbrunnen - Wengen - Kleine Scheidegg - Jungfraujoch: about 100 minutes
Practical information
- Dogs travel free
Traveling with wheelchair or stroller
With wheelchair or pram, the transportation cannot always be guaranteed by Jungfraubahnen when arriving via Kleine Scheidegg.
In these cases, it is better to plan the departure from Grindelwald Terminal via Eigergletscher.
Groups of three or more wheelchairs should inform the ticket office at the departure station about the journey. This allows for possible assistance to be organised.
The Jungfraujoch itself is suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. Access to the Ice Palace is equipped with a wheelchair stairlift.
Swiss Activities Tip
A roughly 45-minute hike takes you from Jungfraujoch between March and October over the glacier to Mönchsjochhütte, situated at 3,657 meters above sea level. The trail is well signposted and maintained. This easy walk is suitable for children too. Wear proper footwear and nothing will stand in the way of your adventure in the Swiss mountain world.
