Ufenau Island

Ufenau Island is Lake Zurich's largest island and has belonged to Einsiedeln Abbey since the 10th century. This car-free island is home to St Peter and Paul Church, St Martin's Chapel and an inn. You can only reach it by boat from Rapperswil or Pfäffikon, or on Lake Zurich's scheduled services. A circular path takes about half an hour to walk.
