Description
You take part in a public guided tour of the city. Meeting point is the "Thunerhof / Aareseitig". Together with Dr. Jon Keller you will follow in the footsteps of famous personalities in Thun. Whether Heinrich von Kleist, Johannes Brahms or other famous guests, they all leave their traces in Thun.
The former city archivist of Thun has a lot to tell. For example, that Ferdinand Hodler completed his apprenticeship as a painter with the Thun oil veduta painter Ferdinand Sommer-Collier. Or that there is a "Kleist-Inseli" in Thun. Or that Johannes Brahms spent several summers in the Hofstetten quarter.
The city tour lasts about 1.5 hours. Afterwards you will know all the famous personalities who have been guests in Thun in the last centuries.
