Description
In the lessons, the children learn the basics of skiing in a playful way and are guided step by step by experienced ski instructors. For older children, there are tips and tricks, and the lessons are designed to be fun and action-packed.
The children learn in groups with peers who have similar skills. Group assignments take place on the first day during the arrival. During peak season, you have the option to book a supervised lunch break with meals for the full-day course.
The Motta Naluns ski area is child-friendly and safe. It offers 80 kilometers of prepared slopes and 12 lifts. The ski area of the municipalities Scuol, Ftan, and Sent is located at an elevation of about 1250 to 2785 meters above sea level.
Level
The following levels of the Swiss Snow League apply:
Snowgarden:
- Suitable for children from 4 years old
- Advanced basics of skiing
- Promotion of gliding and braking on skis
- First experiences with lift facilities (e.g. magic carpet)
Blue Prince/Princess:
- Suitable for children from 5 to around 12 years old
- Information about the equipment
- Ascending with stair and scissor steps
- Gliding and braking in snowplow
- Skiing in parallel position with transitions and tricks
- Snowplow turns
Blue King/Queen:
- Suitable for children from 5 to around 12 years old
- Information about the safe use of transport facilities
- Side skiing and tricks
- Side slipping
- Parallel skiing on simple waves and jumps
- Snowplow swings on easy blue pistes
Blue Star:
- Suitable for children from 5 to around 12 years old
- Information about behavior on the slopes (FIS rules)
- Swinging in mini-pole forests and courses
- Wave and dip skiing
- Switch skiing in V-position with direction changes
- Snowplow swings on varied blue pistes
Red Prince/Princess:
- Suitable for children from 5 to around 12 years old
- Information about warming up
- Braking in parallel
- Carving on simple pistes
- Waltz
- Parallel swings (slid)
Red King/Queen:
- Suitable for children from 5 to around 12 years old
- Information about behavior in the snowpark
- Short swings on simple pistes
- Skate step on flat terrain
- Basic Air (small kicker)
