Description

The course takes place in the Snowpark First. Once you have safely mastered the Beginner Park on Oberjoch, you move on to the Pro Park Bärgelegg. Larger obstacles and kickers await you here. An experienced ski instructor will show you lots of practical tips and tricks to improve your freestyle skills.

In addition to all the tricks, you will learn the rules of conduct in the park and get an introduction to boxing. Thanks to the professional coaching, you will make rapid progress which you can then try out for yourself.

Practical information:

  • Requirement: advanced skier (at least Red King level)
  • Minimum number of participants: 3 persons
  • Maximum number per ski instructor: 8 people

  • Slope tricks: Fakie rides, ollie, slope spins, worm turn, nose tail turns, tail spin, slide out, terrain jumps, 180°, 360°
  • Park / Rails**: Rules of conduct park, fakie rides, introduction box riding, 180°, slides on boxes, introduction to rails
  • Park / Air: Rules of conduct park, basic air, fakie rides, 180°, grabs, switch jumps, jump variations, 360°

Levels Swiss Snow League

Red King/Queen:

  • Suitable for children from 5 to approx. 12 years of age
  • Info about behavior in the snowpark
  • Short turns on easy slopes
  • Skating step on the flat
  • Basic air (small kicker)
  • Parallel turns with different radii

Red Star:

  • Suitable for children from 5 to approx. 12 years of age
  • Information about nature, forest and landscape
  • Parallel turns in the pole couloir and course
  • Parallel swing "Switch" (slid)
  • Single-leg turns on easy slopes
  • Short turns on a medium-difficulty slope

Black Prince/Princess:

  • Info about the material preparation
  • Short turns with poles on difficult slopes
  • Jumping straight and fifty-fifty over box
  • Parallel turns in unprepared snow
  • Carve turns (cut parallel turns) on wide, easy slopes

Black Academy:

Swiss Activities Tip

A must-do during a stay in Grindelwald is a ride on the Velogemel. This special vehicle is a mix of a bicycle and a Gemel, which is a dialect word for sledge. The Velogemel is an original piece of Grindelwald sports equipment and is great fun on the slopes.
