About this place

The newest of the major Swiss museums, the MEG houses one of the finest ethnography collections in Switzerland. In its new setting, it promises you another cultural stage in Geneva: concerts, film seasons, performances, workshops, meet-ups, talks and guided tours... You will discover temporary exhibitions that showcase the MEG’s hidden treasures in magnificent immersive settings, and a permanent exhibition, «Les archives de la diversité humaine». This presents more than a thousand remarkable objects covering several centuries of history and around a hundred civilisations represented by more than a thousand remarkable objects. And beneath the majestic nave lies the Bibliothèque Marie Madeleine Lancoux, with a collection that is always growing and includes more than 45'000 books and audiovisual documents devoted to the cultures of the five continents.
