About this place

In Lausanne, everyone knows the stainless steel sculpture, a gift from Rotary International to the city of Lausanne on the occasion of the Rotary World Congress. The work by the internationally famous artist Ángel Duarte stood for a few months in the grounds of the Palais de Beaulieu and then found its final location on the lakeshore in Lausanne-Ouchy. "Ouverture au monde" is a sculpture made up of 6 hemispheres, formed from 36 transparent, rhombus-shaped elements made from rods.
