About this place
The Musée des beaux-arts occupies a historic Art Deco building dating from 1926. Its collection of more than 7000 works covers art from the 19th century to the present day and presents regional, Swiss and international artists. Contemporary art here sits alongside older works: paintings, sculptures and works on paper meet videos and installations. Three double temporary exhibitions are held there each year, offering the chance to present a fresh display of the collections each time.
