Né à Sierre en 1943, le Dr Jürg Wyss sets up his general practice in Sainte-Croix in 1977, where he works for 30 years. During his consultations, he meets many people working in the region’s businesses. Aware of the value of the regional industrial heritage, over the years he searches for numerous documents, tools and machines linked to the manufacture of music boxes. This is how he has recreated this real, old-style mechanics workshop. In 2009, Dr Wyss donates his collection to the Musée des arts et sciences de Sainte-Croix. The workshop is listed in Switzerland’s industrial inventory, ISIS.
