The NMB Neues Museum Biel explores the cultural history of the region, from prehistory to the present day, in the neighbouring buildings “Neuhaus” (main ticket desk, permanent exhibitions, temporary exhibitions) and “Schwab” (large special exhibitions). Permanently on display are: the archaeological window of the region | Biel’s industrial and watchmaking history | the Robert family of painters – art and nature | bourgeois domestic culture of the 19th century. In four special exhibitions each year, the museum also showcases regional art and other themes from the collection.
