Local History Collection Dürnten

About this place

The local history collection gives visitors an insight into Dürnten’s past. On display are a wide range of everyday objects and clothes from earlier generations, as well as exceptional documents and objects such as a famine notice from the time of the last famine in 1817, a street lamp from Dürnten from the time before electricity, Art Nouveau cutlery and a vacuum cleaner without a motor. Photos from 1900 onwards or books on regional and local history by local writers complete the collection display in the attic of the Tannenbühl school building.
