Schlösschen Vorder-Bleichenberg
About this place
In 1968, Erika and Fritz Moos-Flury bequeathed the municipality of Biberist an important collection of paintings with 192 masterpieces. The collection includes major works by Swiss artists of the 20th century, including Cuno Amiet, Maurice Barraud, Hans Berger, Alois Carigiet, Max Gubler, Hans Jauslin, Ernst Morgenthaler, Werner Miller, Albert Schnyder. The paintings from this collection are shown regularly in the foundation hall. The Schlösschen Vorder-Bleichenberg was the summer residence of the Von Roll family; it was built in 1609 on the model of French manor houses. The Friends of the Schlösschen association organises six art exhibitions each year with contemporary artists.
