In its tent, surrounded by flickering lights and fragrant smoke, an eccentric fortune-teller promises to reveal the secrets of fate. With his crystal ball, he turns his gaze to the stars and into people's hearts – and dares to do nothing less than predict their future. But his boundless ambitions throw everything out of balance: acrobatic acts go wrong, artistic choreography falls apart, and even the most astonishing magic tricks fail. Clumsy yet devoted, he gives the ensemble a chaotic magic of its own – and manoeuvres himself even deeper into trouble. In the end, the only way left is back, to regain the trust of those around him. He can still succeed and hold everyone spellbound. Monti’s new production, «Poussière d’étoiles», unfolds as a poetic journey between laughter, wonder and misunderstandings. In moments of true grace, you can feel that it is precisely in failure that a special strength lies: setbacks turn into pure circus poetry and bring something wonderful into being.
