About this place

The Mammut Flossrennen on the Sitter-Thur takes place traditionally on Mother’s Day. On the course of just over 12 kilometres from Degenau (between Wittenbach and Bischofszell) to the finish in Kradolf, the rafts compete in the race, originality and fun categories. Over hundreds of hours of work, incredible raft constructions and costumes are created. In fine weather, the mega event attracts between 20’000 and 30’000 spectators to the banks of the Sitter and Thur. Enjoy an unforgettable day on the banks of the Sitter and Thur. Saturday from 17:00 – warm-up in Degenau with food and drink Saturday from 8:00 – viewing of the rafts in Degenau Saturday at 10:00 – start of the originality category Saturday at 11:00 – start of the fun category Saturday at 12:00 – start of the race category Saturday from 13:00 – arrival of the first rafts in Kradolf The postponed date would be 23.05.2027.
