Guided Tour of the Schleitheim-Iuliomagus Thermal Baths Museum

The bath complex near Schleitheim was once located in the center of the small Roman town of Iuliomagus (1st–3rd centuries AD). Baths like these served not only for personal hygiene but were also fitness centers, beauty salons, wellness oases, and important social gathering places. Led by Valentin Homberger (archaeologist), we’ll visit the well-preserved, impressive ruins and explore the sophisticated Roman architectural and bathing culture. Afterward, those interested can visit the preserved Roman cellar in the former residential and commercial quarter of Iuliomagus. The guided tour is a highlight of the annual program of the Römerstrasse Neckar-Alb-Aare.
