About this place

Artists’ studios in the region are places of intensive work, experimentation and design. Each year, the selection shows the diversity and expressiveness of local artistic practice; you can apply for it at the Aargauer Kuratorium and the Aargauer Kunsthaus. Based on the submissions for this exhibition, grants for artistic work are also awarded to artists with close ties to the canton of Aargau. The selection usually presents around fifty works on two floors of the Aargauer Kunsthaus. This gives you a unique insight into art from the region. Note: the collection is taking a break during Selection 26. The rooms on the upper and lower floors show only works from Selection 26. Collection 27 will reopen in January 2027.
