Forum Schweizer Geschichte Schwyz is the Swiss National Museum’s base in Central Switzerland.The permanent exhibition «Entstehung Schweiz. Unterwegs vom 12. ins 14. Jahrhundert» shows the conditions under which the old Confederation emerged in the Middle Ages. The history of Switzerland’s emergence is laid out as an interactive trail that appeals to children and adults alike. An unusual spatial staging across three floors makes a visit to the museum an experience.
