About this place
Kunsthaus Zürich presents, as the largest art museum, one of the most important art collections in Switzerland from the 13th century to the present day and stages attractive exhibitions. Its internationally significant holdings include the largest Munch collection outside Norway and the most extensive collection of works by Alberto Giacometti. Highlights include paintings from Impressionism and Classical Modernism by Monet, Picasso, Chagall and the Expressionists Kokoschka, Beckmann and Corinth. Alongside the Pop Art of Warhol and Hamilton, there are works by artists such as Rothko, Twombly, Beuys and Baselitz. Medieval sculptures and panel paintings, and paintings from the Dutch and Italian Baroque (Rembrandt, Domenichino), are followed by Swiss painting of the 19th and 20th centuries with Füssli, Segantini, Hodler, Vallotton and the Zurich Concrete artists such as Bill, Glarner and Loewensberg.
