About this place
Museum Suhr is located in the former Untervogthaus from 1600. The exhibition focuses are closely linked to Suhr, its history and its development. Specific topics such as the formation of the commune, church history and the development of the settlement are presented clearly. The changes in agriculture, crafts and trades are highlighted. Great importance is given to the Wässermatten. At present, the exhibition also shows the early medieval choir screen and the bell from Suhr church from the same century, on loan from the Landesmuseum Zürich and the Historisches Museum Aargau.
