Our museum is actually a mill. The Industriemühle Tiefenbrunnen, over 100 years old, is the oldest mill still in operation in the Zürich area. Flour is produced here almost every day. But the mill is also a museum. In the permanent exhibition spread over three floors, an impressive machine of wheels, hoppers, shakers, drive belts and wooden pipes tells the story of the complex journey from grain to bread and the ancient craft of milling. Our temporary exhibitions also always focus on food; food of the past, today and the future, on food production, on enjoyment, but also on health and ecology.
