Description
The "Golden Hour Social Bike Tour" starts at the Yellow Velo Shop in Interlaken and takes you along the turquoise Aare River through forests and meadows. After about 11 km, you'll reach Lake Thun, where you can enjoy the sunset with a drink and snacks.
An optional splash in the cool water offers refreshment. The return route leads you through old forests and along the Lombach River back to Interlaken. The track follows well-maintained asphalt roads and gravel paths with about 50 metres of elevation.
Practical Information:
- The meeting point is only a 5-minute walk from Interlaken West train station.
- In the shop, you can buy suncream, sunglasses, and water bottles.
- Your luggage can be stored securely in a safe area.
Swiss Activities Tips
If you still want to eat something afterwards, you can visit the Hüsi Bierhaus close to Yellow Velo every day from midday (except Tuesday). They serve spareribs, schnitzel, bratwurst, and other hearty dishes.
