Description
When you think of Switzerland, the first thing that probably comes to mind are the snow-capped mountains and the mighty glaciers. Switzerland's uniquely beautiful mountains attract tourists and mountaineers from all over the world. This day trip from Zurich offers you the opportunity to experience one of Switzerland's most famous mountain resorts up close: the world-famous Jungfraujoch - also known as the "Top of Europe".
In the morning at 8:00 am you will board a modern bus in Zurich and be greeted by your tour guide. The coach will take you comfortably to Interlaken. During the ride, the tour guide will provide you with exciting information about the passing landscape. After a short stop in Interlaken, the journey continues to Grindelwald.
First, the ultra-modern Eiger Express cable car will take you to the Eiger Glacier station. From there you take the Jungfrau Railway up to 3500 meters above sea level to the highest station in Europe. On the way, you will make a short stop at the Eismeer station, where an impressive view of the glacier world awaits you. Through huge glass panes you experience the glacier up close
On the Jungfraujoch you won't be able to stop marveling. From there, you will have a fantastic view of the Aletsch glacier and the snow-covered mountains of the Swiss Alps.
During the next few hours, you will take part in the Alpine Sensation adventure tour. On the Sphinx viewing platform, you'll get a unique view of neighboring Italy and France. You will also be amazed by the longest glacier in Switzerland, the Aletsch Glacier. Then, in the Ice Palace, you'll get to know the inside of a glacier. So dress warmly, because up here it is frosty cold all year round.
You start the descent with the cogwheel train via Kleine Scheidegg to Lauterbrunnen. In the late afternoon, the coach will take you back to Zurich from Lauterbrunnen.
