Description

With your guide, you travel by cable car from Monte Carasso to Mornera. From here, you reach the Tre Signori via ferrata. It comprises three sections of varying difficulty levels.

Meanwhile, you enjoy the spectacular scenery all around. The breathtaking via ferrata crosses the Sementina valley. From here, you can gaze out over the Magadino plain and Monte Tamaro.

Practical Information: Clothing: synthetic or merino thermal underwear Bring along: spare contact lenses or straps for your glasses Bring along: personal medication such as asthma inhaler, EpiPen or allergy medicines Inform your guide about any health issues (if applicable)

Parts of the via ferrata

Via Media:

  • low to moderate difficulty (B to C)
  • between the start and the junction to the Via Difficile (signpost)
  • after the junction, continues at moderate difficulty (B/C to C) upwards (eastern ridge)

Via Difficile:

  • junction from the middle of the Via Media
  • high difficulty (C to D) upwards (northwest ridge)

Via Media di Collegamento:

  • low to moderate difficulty (B to C)
  • connects the eastern and northwest ridges at their summit areas

The highlight of the via ferrata is a 15-meter-long suspension bridge at the end of the Via Difficile route.
