Description
Travel on the Firstbahn between Grindelwald and Schreckfeld simply or return. The 6-person gondola takes 20 minutes for a one-way trip. In Schreckfeld, you’ll find great hiking options. Optionally, you can fly with the First Glider. You’ll be laid on your stomach in a harness, initially pulled backwards up to Grindelwald First. Then, you’ll fly back down to Schreckfeld. Using the glider costs extra.
Swiss Activities Tip
Do you want to combine exciting downhill rides with a mountain hike? In winter, you can sled from Schreckfeld over Bort to Grindelwald. In summer, you have the option to rent a mountain cart, which you return in Bort. You can also rent a Trottibike in Bort, and if you like, ride down to Grindelwald during summer.
Traveling with Stroller or Wheelchair
- Strollers and wheelchairs should be foldable as much as possible.
- It’s best to register the wheelchair in advance by phone with the railway or directly at the departure station to ensure smooth operation.
