The line between Samedan and Surava is a showpiece from the time of the railroad pioneers and since 2008 UNESCO World Heritage. So definitely a railroad line you should have traveled once in your life. Wonderfully harmoniously embedded in nature, the line winds its way through the Albula Valley. In the two railroad villages of Filisur and Bergün you take a longer break. So you can stretch your feet a bit and linger in the Grisons nature.

The route also takes you to the villages of Spinas and Surava.

Immerse yourself in the exciting world of the steam age and let yourself be enchanted by the nostalgia, the shiny metal of the locomotive, the unique smell and the fascinating play of the mechanics.

Practical information:

• In case of special weather conditions, the organizer takes the liberty to run steam trains electrically (Ge 6/6I, Crocodile locomotive)
• Between Küblis - Davos Platz, Thusis - Tiefencastel, Filisur - Davos Platz and Scuol-Tarasp - Ardez an electric locomotive will be harnessed for operational reasons.
• Dogs are not recommended due to limited space
• Take-away drinks and snacks are available in the middle of the train
• Steam rides will only take place if there are enough participants. Please check online or call 1600 from 5 days before the date of the trip to find out if it will take place

Since you are taking a somewhat longer break in Bergün, you will have enough time to stop at the beautiful Kurhaus. Enjoy the creative cuisine and cellar in the cozy restaurant - authentic, alpine, with lots of regional products and always a view over the horizon. Be sure to book in advance!
