Description
You will meet your group and the speleologist at 10:00 am at Laufenburg train station. There the 4-hour excursion into the limestone caves of the Jurassic Park will start
During the excursion you will learn why karstification occurs in limestones and how caves are formed. In the caves the speleologist will explain you how to survey caves and what equipment a speleologist needs. On the way you will also encounter typical karst phenomena such as sinkholes and a stream bend. The excursion will end at 14:30 again at the Laufenburg train station.

- Height difference: 120 m
Practical information:
- The excursion will take place in any weather, except in extreme situations such as very strong wind.
Swiss Activities Tip
Cave systems with branching passages are hidden in the underground of limestone mountains. There are about 8,000 caves in Switzerland, about 2,500 of them are in the Jurapark Aargau.
