Hiking ticket Monte Lema - Monte Tamaro

The cable car from Miglieglia to Monte Lema usually runs every 30 minutes. It consists of three linked cabins and takes 45 people to the summit in just seven minutes.

• Valley station: Miglieglia (717 m above sea level)
• Mountain station: Monte Lema (1566 m above sea level)

The valley station in Miglieglia is easily accessible by car (free parking) and public transport.

From Alpe Foppa below the summit of Monte Tamaro, the cable car takes you back to Rivera.

• Mountain station: Alpe Foppa on Monte Tamaro (1530 m above sea level)
• bottom station: Rivera (529 m above sea level)

If you wish, you can get on the bus at the valley station in Rivera, which will take you back to Miglieglia.

• Departure from Rivera (Monte Tamaro valley station) is at 18:00
• Arrival in Miglieglia (Monte Lema cable car valley station) is at 18:40

Practical information:

• Small dogs free of charge, medium and large dogs require a ticket

The high-level trail between Monte Lema and Monte Tamaro is a very popular hiking trail. You can enjoy unbeatable panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and the impressive mountain scenery behind them. It extends as far as the Valais Alps, the Bernese Oberland and, to the east, the Grisons Alps.

The stages of the hike:

• Monte Lema mountain station starting point (1566 m above sea level)
• Monte Magno (1636 m above sea level)
• Monte Gradiccioli (1936 m above sea level)
• Monte Tamaro (1962 m above sea level)
• Monte Tamaro Alpe Foppa mountain station (1530 m a.s.l.)

You can easily bypass the actual summits of Gradiccioli and Monte Tamaro, saving you up to 160 meters in altitude if the ascent is too difficult for you. Take the cable car down to Rivera, where a bus will be waiting for you. It will take you back to Miglieglia.
