Grimsel Gorge
The Grimsel Gorge is located in the Bernese Oberland, nestled in the impressive Alpine landscape. This spectacular gorge is crossed by the River Aare and is known for its steep rock faces and clear, turquoise water. The rugged, untouched nature of the Grimsel Gorge makes it a unique destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Hiking is particularly popular, and there are well-marked trails that lead you through beautiful scenery. One highlight is the Aare Gorge hiking trail, which offers breathtaking views and exciting passages. For the more adventurous, canyoning is an exciting way to explore the gorge. Right at the beginning, you have to abseil down about 50 meters. There is also a tyrolienne in the gorge.
