What it's about
Härdöpfel Junior is bored. No wonder, it is still winter. But soon there is lively bustle, Härdöpfel Senior tells his son Junior. As soon as spring arrives, the garden comes to life: tomatoes are loud and full of temperament, radishes and beans race each other to see who can grow fastest, carrots preach order, and the sunflower cries out every day, full of enthusiasm, “Showtime”. But competition, envy and misunderstandings keep causing chaos. A heavy thunderstorm destroys the bean pole, a cheeky fox leaves an unpleasant “gift”, snails nibble at the lettuce, and a huge pumpkin grows over everyone’s heads and declares itself boss. Only when a hedgehog eats the pumpkin does the situation calm down again. As summer goes on, the vegetables learn that solidarity, consideration and patience matter more than size, speed or noise. But what happens at the end is a surprise for everyone. Here’s how the QR-Gschichtli trail works This Swiss German radio play lasts around 40 minutes and you can listen to it on a walk through Griespark. The starting point is Neuwiesenstrasse. Along the route, you’ll find 10 posters with QR codes on lampposts. Simply scan the code with your smartphone and immerse yourself in a charming story.
