In April 2027, Simba heads back to the KKL Luzern in search of his place in the eternal cycle of life. Together with the original film score played live by the 21st Century Orchestra & Chorus, Disney fans plunge into the endless reaches of the African savannah with the live-action film adaptation. They experience the moving stories of its inhabitants in this Disney classic, about betrayal, growing up, death and rebirth. This one-of-a-kind experience is enhanced by legendary soundtracks with African rhythms paired with monumental, epic melodies played and sung by over 150 performers. In keeping with Walt Disney’s pioneering spirit, the film was given in 2019 a contemporary approach and an unprecedented dimension of emotion and realism with a new, visually powerful live-action version. Due to overwhelming demand in winter 2026, with a total of nine sold-out performances and around 14'000 visitors, this gripping story for young and old with the Oscar-winning score by Hans Zimmer and epic hits such as Elton John’s «Can You Feel The Love Tonight», «Hakuna Matata» or «Circle of Life» will be performed again in April 2027.
