What it's about
**Like this, like this, like this, and also like this!** Accompanied by music, a space full of drawers opens up. Small, large, long and short – everything seems perfectly in order, everything sorted, everything in its place. The three performers sort and dismantle, load and burden themselves, stumble and collapse. What begins as a game soon turns serious and makes it increasingly clear: ‘I won’t let myself be put in a box so easily, because I am like this, like this, like this, and also like this.’ The dance and music journey playfully tackles prejudice and looks for new orders that break down pigeonholing. The theatre piece is low-barrier. The little language used is simple language. The team also used its multilingualism for the play: German, Turkish, Italian, French, Arabic. Individual sequences of the theatre piece are signed in German Sign Language by the performers. A professional audio description was developed by Charlotte Arens and Lenka Löhmann. In relation to pigeonholing, prejudice and discrimination, Seda Keskinkılıç-Brück advised the production process. At Theater Chur, «Gehört das so?» will be staged as part of the Action Week against Racism 2027. **Who is Who** Companie M is a collective of artists working in dance, theatre, object theatre, music and performance. With a base in Heidelberg and the Rhine-Neckar region, the group creates professional theatre for children, especially for the very youngest. Companie M was founded in 2018 by theatre-maker Miriam Lemdjadi and puppeteer Myriam Rossbach; since then, the team has been reshaped for each project. Companie M performs its shows at regional, national and international festivals, in theatres, in nurseries and in public spaces. Companie M is a member of Assitej Deutschland, the international association of theatre for children and young people.
