What it's about

Light is much more than technology – it creates atmosphere, guides the eye and tells a story. In this course, you will learn how to use light purposefully to shape scenes, evoke emotions and support stories visually. - Basics of stage and room lighting - Cabling and setting up a lighting system - Types of spotlights and modern LED technology - Working with dimmers, controls and power questions - Creating lighting moods through colour, direction and intensity - Practical exercises with lighting desks and programming Course aim - Understanding the technical basics of lighting design - Practical safety when handling lighting systems and desks - Developing and implementing your own lighting moods - From setup and cabling through to programming: discover how lighting technology and creativity go hand in hand to stage scenes effectively. Target audience: for all technicians, as well as directors and creatives who want to broaden their scope of work with specialist knowledge
