Description

In the Pixel Arcade Room in Zurich, you'll dive into the world of the 80s with arcade games. You’ll compete in two teams in separate rooms (either 1 vs 1, 2 vs 1, or 2 vs 2).

The goal within 60 minutes is to score more points than the opposing team in 14 games. Classic favorites like Pong, Pacman, Tetris, Tanks, and Snake are waiting for you.

The arcade games mainly require skill and fast reflexes.

Practical Information:

  • free parking for 3 hours at Letzipark
  • Dog: can stay with the pet-loving gamemaster and should be calm without its owner
  • Kids (0-2 years) can be brought in a baby carrier or similar.

Swiss Activities Tip

Right next to the Arcade Room, there's a McDonald's. If you're in the mood for something Mediterranean, you'll find the restaurant Nüni across the street.

Game Selection

  • Pong (1972): A simple table tennis game where two players hit a ball back and forth with paddles. The goal is to hit the ball so that it passes by your opponent and leaves the playing field.

  • Pacman (1980): A maze game where you control Pac-Man and eat all the dots in the maze while avoiding ghosts. Power pellets let you eat the ghosts for a short time.

  • Tetris (1984): A puzzle game where falling blocks (Tetriminos) must be rotated and stacked to form complete rows that disappear. The game gets faster and more challenging the longer you play.

  • Tanks (1985): A simple action game where players control tanks and must shoot enemy vehicles or obstacles. Strategy and quick reactions are key to survival.

  • Snake (1997): A skill game where you control a snake on the playing field to eat food. The snake grows longer with each piece of food, and the game ends when it touches itself.
