"Legendary Maienfeld" - a scenic guided tour of the town

In Maienfeld you will experience a very special guided tour. Here you will be shown the life of the past Maienfeld with actors and actresses. So you can really immerse yourself in the old home of the famous Heidi.

The guided tour starts at 10:00 am at the old workshop at the parking lot in Maienfeld. Here begins an extraordinary city tour. During the tour you will be shown the life in the past Maienfeld with the help of actors and actresses. Here you have the chance to get to know the old home of the famous Heidi and to dive into the life of that time

After the tour you will have a glass of delicious Maienfeld wine in a torkel. At 11:30 am the tour ends.

In Maienfeld you will also find the Heidi Village. The Heidi village, the original setting for the film version of the Heidi story, remains unchanged. The author Johanna Spiry was inspired here. The furnishings date back to 1880. In the town hall stables you will find goats like those of Geissenpeter, whom Heidi accompanied every day. The horse and carriage can also be found here. In addition to the Heidi house, Heidi's alpine hut and the town hall with the village school are also located in the Heidi village. The village shop and the post office have also been preserved.
