Bô Noël, the Christmas markets of Lausanne, take place for the twelfth time from 20 November to 31 December 2026, spread across the city centre from Place Saint-François to the Esplanade de la Cathédrale. The 2026 programme has not yet been published. In 2025 the roughly 60 chalets were open daily except 25 December, the retail stalls until 20:00 and the food and drink chalets until 21:00–23:00. According to the organiser, over 450,000 visitors came in 2025.

Bô Noël

Bô Noël is spread across eight sites in the city centre, each with its own theme. In 2025 there were around 60 chalets run by craftspeople and restaurateurs, and over 40 creatives sold in a two-storey container boutique. On Place Bel-Air there was fondue in a heated tent, and on Rue du Lion d'Or a toboggan run.

2025 hours – the 2026 opening hours have not been published yet · Times of the retail chalets in 2025. Food and drink chalets open longer: Mon–Tue 12:00–22:00, Wed 11:00–22:00, Thu–Fri 12:00–23:00, Sat 11:00–23:00, Sun 12:00–21:00. 2025: 24 December until 17:00; 25 December closed; 26–30 December retail chalets 12:00–20:00, food and drink 12:00–21:00 (Sat from 11:00); 31 December retail chalets 11:00–17:00, food and drink until 02:00 only in the Cité.
Good to know
Closed on 25 December only
Bô Noël is open daily until New Year's Eve, except on Christmas Day. On 24 December 2025 everything closed at 17:00.
Eating out in the evening
In 2025 the retail chalets closed at 20:00, while the food and drink chalets stayed open until 23:00 Thu–Sat.
New Year's Eve at the cathedral
On New Year's Eve 2025 only the Cité stayed open until 02:00, for the fireworks at the cathedral. The retail chalets closed at 17:00.
Without a car
From Lausanne station about 10 minutes on foot along Rue du Petit-Chêne to Place Saint-François, or on the m2 metro to «Lausanne-Flon».
