Description

This is the region’s most popular snowmobile tour, and for good reason. The ride is packed with highlights, including the fairytale scenery around Lago Nero. You’ll also discover the Splügen Pass and enjoy excellent views of the surrounding area. Snowmobiling is an incredible amount of fun. And to make sure you get back safely, an experienced guide accompanies you throughout the tour.

The tour starts at 11:45 am on Saturdays and Sundays at the snowmobile base in Madesimo, just south of the Swiss border in Italy. Arrive 30 minutes early to check in, meet your guide and collect your snowmobile. Before setting off, your guide will give you a thorough safety briefing, followed by a few tips on how to ride.

Then it’s time to hit the trail. First, you’ll ride along freshly groomed pistes up to Lago Nero, where a fairytale winter landscape awaits. From there, you’ll head back to Cava before riding up to the famous Splügen Pass on the Swiss border. The return route takes you via Cava back to Madesimo. There, you’ll say goodbye to your guide and return your snowmobile.

Unwind in the evening at Osteria Vegia. This restaurant specialises in local dishes and serves a range of delicious set menus, including Pizzoccheri, polenta and plenty of meat dishes made with local specialities. Enjoy a delicious meal in a cosy dining room with rustic decor. It’s the perfect place to relax after an exciting day out.

  • The price is per snowmobile – two people can ride on one snowmobile
  • Drivers need a car or motorcycle driving licence
  • Bring your driving licence and passport or ID (entry into Italy)
  • Helmets are compulsory: rental helmets are provided free of charge, and you can also wear your own ski, snowboard or motorcycle helmet
  • Bring warm winter clothing (ski suit, winter boots, gloves, hat and ski goggles) – rental clothing is not available
  • The date must be confirmed by the provider after booking
