Description
The Old Town tour "Altstadt-Geschichten" takes you through about 2000 years of Baden's city history. You'll learn how the Romans already used the thermal springs at the Limmat knee. Later, Baden was granted town rights and developed into an important place in the Swiss Confederation.
On your stroll, you'll discover historic walls and the alleys of the old town. You'll visit the Tagsatzung hall and see the town church as well as the oldest railway station in Switzerland from the outside. Anecdotes also give you more insight into the Tagsatzungen and Baden's tradition as a congress centre. The tour ends at the town hall.
