Description
This private hike takes you from Mülenen up to the Niesen at 2,362 m above sea level. The distinctive mountain rises pyramid-shaped above Lake Thun and is one of the well-known viewpoints in the Bernese Oberland. You’ll be accompanied by a Swiss triathlete, experiencing a consistently steep ascent through forest and alpine terrain.
As you gain altitude, views open up over Lake Thun, Interlaken, and the surrounding mountains. The upper section passes through more open terrain up to the summit. There, you’ll enjoy a panoramic view and find a mountain restaurant to take a break.
The tour is private and tailored to your pace, the conditions, and your mountain experience. For part of the ascent or descent, the Niesenbahn funicular can be used optionally, provided it is operating.
