Description
This private guided hike starts in the alpine village of Grindelwald. From there, the trail leads you uphill through forest paths and alpine meadows. As you gain altitude, views open up to rock faces, glaciers, and surrounding peaks.
At First, you reach a viewpoint high above Grindelwald. Here you’ll also find the First Cliff Walk, a steel walkway along the cliffs. A mountain restaurant offers a chance to take a break in this alpine setting.
Afterwards, you continue hiking through the mountain landscape to Bachalpsee. The lake is famous for reflecting the surrounding peaks. The panorama in the Bernese Oberland is especially marked by Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau.
You can optionally use the gondola between Grindelwald and First for part of the route or for the descent.
