On equal footing

What belongs to collective memory, what to subjective perception? What inspires? Is a work understood and perceived differently in another cultural context? The exhibition «On equal footing» aims – on a small scale – to raise these questions and encourage discussion. To do so, artists from non-European cultures, and thus with different visual influences, are invited to show their works side by side, opposite one another and in context. A respectful dialogue between the different positions is intended to emerge. Three artists with origins in the Middle East are invited to present their works in Projektraum AUTO. The exhibition is meant to enable an encounter and make new connections visible.
