Conrad Ferdinand Meyer
Σχετικά με αυτόν τον χώρο
The poet C. F. Meyer (1825–1898) lived in the house for more than twenty years. Many of his unique novellas and poems were written here in Kilchberg. His study, bequeathed by his daughter Camilla to the Zentralbibliothek Zürich, is preserved with its original furniture and library. An exhibition shows Meyer’s life and work. The biographical section presents and portraits Conrad’s family background. A proper «survey of the work» recalls his epic and lyrical oeuvre, but also repeatedly brings the poet’s personality to life: in photographs, in portrait, as a letter writer, with original objects from his everyday life, or – right at the end – in the death mask.
