With this game format, visitors experience the Naturhistorische Museum Bern in a whole new way: the mix of computer game, radio play and trail-finding through the exhibitions, accessible via a smartphone app, opens up a parallel world for players. Armed only with their smartphone, players fight alongside big-game hunter Vivienne von Wattenwyl against her fever spirits. Together they solve puzzles, follow clues and influence how the story unfolds through their actions. Those who learn from the mistakes of the past triumph. But what is reality, what is delusion? One thing is certain: museum guests have never experienced anything like this. The mobile game is an exclusive development tailored to the museum by the Berlin gametheatre group machina eX. Old stories, new connections Vivienne von Wattenwyl (1900–1957), Bernese aristocrat and big-game hunter, is the main character and stands at the centre of the game. Vivienne carries the story from place to place and through time, lightly and enjoyably - yet with depth: almost by the way, players learn a great deal of interesting information: unfamiliar links and hidden details in the themes and objects of the various exhibitions are brought to light.
