Here you’ll find Fort de Pré Giroud south-east above Vallorbe in the Vaud Jura. It sits at around 1000 m and belongs to the museum category. The Swiss Army artillery work was built from 1937 to 1941. From 1975 it was used for training before being decommissioned in the mid-1980s. For your visit, the location is well suited as an excursion destination in the Jura. The site is suitable all year round if you are interested in history and military buildings.
