Lac de Derborence

Here you find Lac de Derborence, one of Switzerland’s youngest naturally formed mountain lakes. It lies in the municipality of Conthey in Valais. The lake formed in 1749 after a landslide on the slope of Les Diablerets. Together with the surrounding pine primeval forest, it forms a nature reserve of the Swiss League for Nature Protection.
