Exhibition "Übergänge" - image and floral art at the Mattli Antoniushaus
Об этом месте
At the Mattli Antoniushaus, high above the Vierwaldstättersee, an exhibition unfolds where art, silence and landscape merge into a special experience. The artist Manuela Odermatt, who comes from Nidwalden and has lived in Brunnen for several years, took inspiration from the annual theme of the educational programme and presents in her works a philosophical journey in images on the theme of «Übergänge». Her works invite you to look more closely: what seems laid aside, broken or faded finds a new form in her images and objects. She shows how the past can become the future. Isabella Lenzlinger, who is also active in Brunnen, brings the language of plants into play: blossoms, leaves and natural materials become floral compositions that let the room breathe and bring the beauty of the «fantastische Naturwelten» into the house. Between painting and floral art, delicate dialogues emerge – shades of colour pick up floral nuances, lines and structures repeat in branches, grasses and leaves. The visit thus becomes a walk through pictorial spaces and islands of nature, where the eye can settle and new associations may grow. For years, the Mattli Antoniushaus has been a place where art, spirituality and nature complement one another. The view across the expanse of the lake, the strength of the place and the carefully designed interior spaces provide the ideal setting to discover the works of these two artists in peace. The exhibition invites individual guests, groups and travellers passing through to step out for a moment, let themselves be touched by the works and continue on with new images in their hearts.
