Ultra Acústico – presented by Kander Kultur & Mühle Hunziken. It’s a big deal: world star Manu Chao is coming to Switzerland for two exclusive concerts. Instead of filling a stadium or playing the main stage at a major festival, he is returning – as he did two years ago – to his friends at the Kander Kultur association and Mühle Hunziken. He deliberately chooses a venue away from the major urban centres, in the middle of nature, surrounded by idyllic mountain scenery - the two concerts will take place at the Kanderarena Mülenen in the beautiful Kandertal. 2500 visitors are expected each night. Manu Chao has his heart in the right place. Alongside choosing an unusually special venue for an artist of his stature, one thing mattered most to him: ticket prices should stay fair and as low as possible. Manu Chao brings all his hits with him – including «Bongo Bong», «Clandestino», «Me Llaman Calle» and «Me Gustas Tu». Together with the Argentinian Matu Mati on guitar and the Galician Miguel Rumbao on bongos, he promises a roughly two-hour, sweat-inducing trio show. We’re looking forward to Latin American vibes, Manu Chao’s enchanting charisma, his playful fellow musicians and a captivating fusion of cultures. Manu Chao sings in Spanish, French, English, Portuguese, Arabic and Portuñol – a mixed language of Spanish and Portuguese. Before and after Manu Chao, a colourful, well-matched supporting programme awaits: with the young female voices of Andariegas, former Manu Chao guitarist Lucky Salvadori and the reggae DJs of King Size Sound. Amigos y Amigas – these will be two evenings for the history books! In addition to the low ticket price, it is also important to Manu Chao and us that, despite the limited capacity, as many different groups as possible can attend the special concert – therefore the maximum ticket number is limited to 4 tickets per buyer.
