13th Powerboat Meeting / Model Boat Demonstration in Stäfa 2026

Dear friends and supporters of the model boating scene, the demonstration and powerboat meeting of the Club Modell-Rennboote Schweiz (MRBS) is taking place this year for the thirteenth time. That is why MRBS invites you to the demonstration at Badi Stäfa over the weekend from Friday 2 October to Sunday 4 October 2026. Over the three days, numerous drivers from all over Switzerland and nearby countries will present their self-built models: petrol-powered powerboats – which can be up to 2.4 metres long –, electric, sailing and so-called functional boats (tankers, tugs, submarines, etc.). There will even be boats with turbine propulsion on site. While the main focus is on ship models, we also warmly welcome RC vehicles of all kinds and aircraft in the exhibition. Fans and model builders of functional boats have their own 10 x 8 metre water basin, so they can present their boats safely, that is, without the risk of waves. If you want to take a closer look at the various models, you can do so at the specially set-up exhibition. Drivers are happy to answer questions at any time. In addition, the speaker regularly presents and explains individual powerboats. The two-day races with F1 electric boats and petrol-powered monoboats, with qualifying on Saturday and the final on Sunday, promise to be a highlight. The exact running times will be announced in the programme on site. MRBS is also particularly keen to welcome families to this event. Young visitors can look forward to a bouncy castle (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and face painting for children (Saturday, 13:00 to 17:00). They can also try their hand as model boat drivers several times a day in the 10 x 8 metre water basin (times given on site) using smaller boats, and will receive a diploma for doing so. Once again this year, we will run a big tombola, with the proceeds going to the «Stiftung Denk an mich». The foundation supports holidays and leisure activities for people with disabilities. The team at the Badi restaurant will provide food and drink. A sales stand for model boat builders rounds off the offer.
