Schotterplatz is much more than a model railway in G scale. On the area of over 800 m2, there is plenty to discover! Schotterplatz reflects typical Swiss landscapes. The prominent mountain in the middle of the layout, with the rack railway and the reversing tunnels, is a special eye-catcher. By the way, on the subject of the rack railway: at Schotterplatz you will also find two exhibits of the originals: the rack railway motor coach no. 123 of the Wengernalpbahn and the venerable passenger coach no. 17 of the Jungfraubahnen, also known as the Eiger-Ambassador-Express, built in 1912. Of course, western Switzerland is also represented on the model layout with four vineyards, twice red wine and twice white wine, in autumn dress with ripe grapes just waiting to be harvested. Transport naturally takes place by rail. But there is also plenty to discover next to the layout. Schotterplatz combines the model railway world with components from the real thing. For example, a real mechanical master clock controls all the secondary clocks at Schotterplatz.
